At the cultural heart of Paris, the INATTENDUS DE NOLINSKI pulsates to the rhythm of the capital’s art scene. With these regular and unusual gatherings, like confidences for the initiated, NOLINSKI invites Parisians and loyal guests of the hotel to satisfy their curiosity and surprise their senses with art.
For one evening, Martine Amsili, a graduate of the conservatory of dramatic arts, reads us the most beautiful poems of Marceline Desbordes-Valmore. A great poet, Marceline Delbordes-Valmore was a contemporary of Verlaine, Baudelaire, Rimbaud, Sainte-Beuve, and Honoré de Balzac. She played a significant role in the evolution of writing. Originally an actress, a friend of Mademoiselle Mars, she left the stage to dedicate herself to her greatest passion, writing. Her lyrical poems and her romances still sing to us with the most beautiful airs of a romanticism that has disappeared today. Julien Clerc and Pascal Obispo have unerringly matched her words to their music.
Accompanied by the pianist Jean Seleskovitch, Martine Amsili brings back to life elegies, songs and laments. Each poem is complemented by original melodies specially composed for the occasion by the renowned composer Jean-Pierre Stora.
